Warning: Urban Slang Used By Suburban House Frau On Death Bed

Greetings from my deathbed. Or death couch, as it may be.

I'm sicker than sick. I may have even caught the Black Plague from too much reading on Big Mama.

Whatever it is I have, I am sure that it is the exact same thing that killed half the Pilgrims in 1620.

Those poor, poor people.

And amid the moaning and the fever and the chills, the profuse sweating, not to mention the swollen and puffy eyes, what is the only coherent thought I could put together?

Well, the only coherent thought besides the one about my throat closing up?

It was 'Must.Do.My.Post. Must Get Post Written. Have Not Posted Yet Today.'

Clearly, I think of myself as more than just a mere cog in the wheel of this great big blogosphere.

Because though laundry may sit unfolded in the dryer for days on end, beds may or may not get made daily, and my children had Easy Mac for breakfast because it was the most nutritional thing left in the pantry, I feel I MUST crank out a new post every morning.

Because that's how I roll.

(Excuse me.)

(I just have always wanted to say 'that's how I roll.')

(And I don't get many opportunities to do so out here in vinyl-sided suburbia.)

(And I'm on Codeine, so I don't need to worry about making any kind of sense.)

Roll on in peace Internets, and have a great weekend.

Feel better!

I actually had a posted titled "This is the Way we Roll" this week...but I just couldn't do it. I am proud of you for going out there with it. You are way cooler than me.

Easy Mac isn't nutritious?

I love codeine. Ummm... did I just say that? It's good stuff. :)

I hope you are feeling better soon. I probably should stay away from blogs for awhile as this sickness has taken over several of my bloggy buddies... it's rollin' from one blog to the next! :)

Feel better. Get back to your death couch and get some sleep.

Hee. You are very amusing for such a sick person. And...I admire you for your persistence in blogging, because if I tried to blog every day, I would be blogging about being out of toilet paper..and I just really don't think there is much demand for that.

I'm not a doctor, but I did major in history, and I'm pretty sure the plague has been more or less eradicated, so rest assured you probably won't get boils all over your body and die a horrible painful death.

I do hope you feel better soon though, whatever it is you have.

Hi, I'm out 90 west a bit further. And I'm feeling the need for echinacea just from blog reading today--everyone is sick! Hope you feel better.

Hope you feel better soon . . . I am on day 5 of antibiotics for strep . . . the night before I went to the doctor, I seriously asked the hubby -- "how long after I die before you remarry???" I really thought I was going to die. Why do these things hit us so much harder than they do the kids?????

I told you not to get to close to the monitor.

Hope you feel better soon!

Yo Girl! Or should I say Yo Dawg, like we do in our house when we are talkin a little slang?! It gets especially bad after watching Randy on American Idol. :)

Anyway, I hope you get to feeling better soon! I had the flu last month and it was absolutely miserable. Thankfully it only lasted 24 hours. I have to say I am not near as funny as you when I am sick!

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now. Keep it up!
And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time! :)
